Are we Patient OF IMPATIENCE?

We  want everything fast, we don’t want to stand in queues, we want to do the transactions sitting at home, at one click. We want results in quick time. Something that involves a long process, something that gives out results gradually, we want to avoid those situations in life.

We adopt to Allopathy medicines because it gives immediate results without uprooting the cause while Ayurvedic medicines uproots the cause but gradually. We concentrate on quickness of relief rather on removal of disease from the root. We like Fast foods than normal foods because Fast foods are less time consuming, less energy consuming (in preparation) but its life consuming. It consumes our life but we are enamoured by titillating sensation of our taste buds. During exams we relied more on exam guides than on our text books. Why? Because we want short cuts, we don’t want to go through process, we want quick results, we are patient of IMPATIENCE.

But we are so fond of getting things quickly, we want results in no time and the same mood we carry in our devotion also. But Krishna Consciousness works in a purifying way. It purifies a person till he can experience the eternal bliss forever. The first time, when we came in contact with Krishna Consciousness, we got an instant bliss, something never experienced before and we thought that this bliss will not stop, it will continue forever. But no, we have to struggle; we have to fight to get that sample bliss again, it might take life time but surely that’s going to come. The only quality that we need is PATIENCE, till that time let us hold on to what we are holding on to and wait patiently for the Lord’s mercy.

LUST DIES, NOT THE LOVE

A boy proposes a girl, the girl too likes that man. They dream of being together for a life, they promise to take care of each other for life long, to be with each other for life long, to love each other for life long. But destiny had planned something else. Boy meets with an accident, his appealing body becomes a scary one. His feeling for the girl is same, the girl is same, the boy is same but boy's body is not the same and so the LOVE between the two breaks. The girl rejects the boy.

While falling in love, people see the external beauty and very rarely internal attributes are given weight. A small crack in relationship and then so called LOVE dies. But was that one a LOVE in the first place at all. Love never dies, it is eternal, it is promising, it is ever existing in true relationships. It is the only lust that has short span of life. Lust rules in the mind, till the time external beauty is appealing to heart and eyes. With the time, our mind gets lusty either to some other thing or some other person. Love remains true love in all situations. It doesn't depend on your partner's attitude or his forms, or his presence. Love is very subtle and it manifests in the care we take for our partner.

Gopies of Vrindavan had true love for Krishna, it was not lust, it was love. Whether Krishna was present or not, they continued to like him, to love him. Prahalad Maharaj had true love for Lord Vishnu and thus he was able to remember him in all situations, even when his life was going through turmoils again and again. It was the love of Tukaram that attracted Vitthaldev and ultimately he got the association of the Lord.

Love in material world is lust only, a reflection of true love is found in mother's love for her child, that selfless love is just the image of love that devotees have for Krishna. Thus Love is forever, but lust has an end. Thus intelligence lies in taking a step towards LOVE than towards LUST.

ITS Tooooo SLIPPERY

A piglet is seen running  across the road. It may not be knowing that this is its last walk of the life. It runs fast as it was chased by one barking dog, then two dogs, then three and then four. Prey is lying before the Dogs' eyes. It was difficult for the piglet as it tried to hide itself behind the bushes. But in the meantime it got surrounded by powerful barking dogs. The life was in danger, soon its skinny flesh was being bitten by the dogs, it started screaming and limping but no one to help around. Suddenly two passers by saw the pathetic drama and started chasing the dogs before they take very life of this piglet. Stones were thrown at dogs, but the smell of the blood coming out of the flesh of piglet was too tempting for them to leave the scene. They were just roaming around waiting for their enemies ( who had come in the form of human beings ) to go away. Piglet saw this as a great opportunity to run, but couldn't run, one of its legs was severely injured by the jaws of dogs. It was just trying to drag away from the scene, to save its very life. The hands of human beings which were throwing stones at dogs soon got tired and after sometime they decided to take a leave. Now as their enemies went off, dogs started searching for piglets again in the bushes and they found it and caught it and started snatching their parts of flesh and the soul of the piglet departed.

Our Anarthas ( dogs ) chase us in the same manner. We really don't know which Anartha will bite us and when. Sometimes we are surrounded by all the Anarthas. Devotees intervene and help us fight with these Anarthas, chase away the Anarthas but as soon as our association with devotees is cut, our association with Anarthas starts growing again and one day we are totally devoured by the bite of Anarthas. We are too slippery to handle our Anarthas alone, we need the association, we need the helping hands. So be in touch because that's the only thing that we have. Our connection with Krishna, depends on our connection with devotees.
